My name is Rebecca, I live with my Husband and three daughters aged 16 years, 11 years and 9 years in Eccleshill, Bradford.
I am an Ofsted registered Child minder and a member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years). I have been registered since March 2016 and offer care for children aged 3 months to 12 years. I collect/drop off at St Luke's C of E Primary School. We have a spacious open plan Playroom/living/dining room with Patio doors that lead out to a secure enclosed garden with paved area and lawn filled with a variety of toys.
At Teacher's Tots we vary our routine according to the time of the year and children's interests. We attend local playgroups, parks, soft play centres, library and places of interest. I offer lots of creative, messy play such as sticking, gluing, painting, baking as well as lots of child-led free play for children to explore their own ideas.
I have a wealth of knowledge related to children and their development in several capacities with hands on experience as a mum, nursery nurse and early years teacher for over 16 years.
I hold the following qualifications to enable me to provide a rich learning environment:
QTS Qualified Early Years Teacher
Education Studies degree
Nursery Nursing Level 3
I am also
Paediatric First Aid trained
Trained in Safeguarding
Enhanced DBS
Registered with the ICO (information Commissioners Office/Data protection Act 1998)
My home is very child orientated, welcoming and friendly; I am a warm, caring, calm, organised and safety conscious person.
I have comprehensive plans, policies and procedures which I follow, covering all aspects of my setting, providing important information and peace of mind for parents. I fully appreciate the responsibility involved when caring for someone's child. I therefore always do my best to be supportive and involve parents, to instil confidence, to meet their wishes and their child's needs, working together for the benefit of their child.
Sharing information is made a high priority, allowing vital involvement in your child's day and providing continuity of your child's care. I use a daily diary so that information can be exchanged about a child's time with me. I make observations of children from birth to age five, to chart their progress and record their achievements whilst they are with me. This record is presented when a child leaves my setting it can be shared with their future carer or educator or can be kept as a keepsake.
